Louisiana Information Literacy Initiative (LILI)

(for librarians only)

This project is designed to assist librarians in transforming a school library to meet the needs of the students of the 21st Century. With the large amount of information now available on the Internet, it is important that librarians involve themselves in helping students become information literate. Issues pertinent to this goal will be explored in this training. The Louisiana Information Literacy Model for Lifelong Learning, which can be found in the Guidelines for Library Media Programs in Louisiana Schools and all the state curriculum guides, will be one of the starting points for our exploration of the research skills.
